Overview

The Environmental, Natural Resources and Sustainable Development team is integrated by highly qualified specialists led by pioneers of the field in Mexico.

We provide comprehensive environmental and regulatory services to Mexican and foreign clients in domestic and cross-border matters, including the design and implementation of environmental strategies and self-regulatory measures to assist our clients with the compliance of mandatory environmental standards, natural resources and climate change provisions, helping to make their industrial processes more efficient and guarantee long term development.

We have a preventive rather than corrective approach to the practice, by helping our clients develop sustainable projects and businesses, and thus, to diminish contingencies through legal compliance to their obligations. Part of our practice has been focused in the social aspects of projects, helping prepare social studies for the implementation of environmental and social risk assessments, as well as through the development of public queries and public meetings within the Environmental Impact Assessment process in terms of the applicable environmental provisions.

Our services include environmental, climate change, health and safety regulatory legal advice as well as legal representation in judicial and administrative proceedings, including class actions and the constitutional study of the human right to a healthy environment for their development and well being.
