During last year Gómez-Acebo & Pombo (GA_P) has continued to be a firm of choice for dispute resolution and arbitration work in Spain and in Portugal. Particularly in the public domain, GA_P is a key player in a large number of arbitration procedures related to the renegotiation and early termination of several very relevant PPPs and public infrastructure contracts, as well as a number of arbitrations for the replacement of the financial balance of some of the more important infrastructure construction and concession contracts in Portugal.

GA_P's expertise in litigation and arbitration procedures related to infrastructure keeps on being extended to advising clients with claims and issues in Mozambique.

In addition, there has been a substantial increase of advice to investment funds in debt trading transactions for concession businesses, where the concessionaire’s arbitration claims against the Grantor play a significant role in the assessment of the overall value and sustainability of the business.
