 The practice has particular expertise in the healthcare, life sciences and the creative industries sectors; working alongside specialist colleagues in other practice areas within small sector-specific focus groups. 

The life sciences and creative industries sectors are specific target areas for Welsh Government and much is happening in these sectors in Wales. We continue to be actively involved in The Life Sciences Hub in Cardiff and Swansea’s Institute of Life Sciences, including providing seminars and workshops there for both tenants and the wider life sciences community.

Providing innovative IP solutions for start-ups in specific sectors. Our “Scinapse” product, which was developed for life sciences sector start-ups and enables businesses to obtain a wide range of IP-related work at a transparent affordable fixed price, continues to attract new clients in this sector.

Close connections with the patent and trade mark attorney communities. Michael Lindsey sits on CITMA’s Design and Copyright Working Group.

Close links with Cardiff University School of Architecture, for whom legal training in copyright law is provided.

Acting for the Welsh Government in multi-national copyright infringement claims, which continue to receive press attention from the BBC, Western Mail and others.
