As part of its banking and finance practice, the firm provides transactional, regulatory and compliance advise to some of the main financial institutions of Mexico. These clients include banks, broker dealers, investment funds, insurance companies, nonbanking financial institutions (both regulated and unregulated), as well as to commercial and international clients. Gaxiola Calvo has been an active player in the public debt areas acting as counsel to both the public and private sector. The firm also participates, on behalf of its clients, in the analysis and negotiations of constitutional, legal and regulatory reforms on constitutional, commercial and financial matters, including the recently enacted Fintech Law and its secondary regulations.
