The Environment, Sustainability and Waste department of Felsberg Advogados assists domestic and foreign clients in all areas of environmental law, with special emphasis on waste management in general, and extended producer responsibility and take-back schemes in particular, contaminated land, product and chemicals regulation, and biodiversity (genetic resources and associated traditional knowledge) matters.

We have experience in both consulting and litigation. Our environmental legal consultancy work includes drafting legal opinions, mapping and monitoring environmental legislation applicable to business activities as well as obtaining licences, authorisations and permits from environmental authorities throughout Brazil. Within our litigation practice, we represent and defend clients in courts and tribunals, administrative proceedings before environmental authorities and investigations undertaken by Public Prosecution Offices.
