About

Provided by Eversheds Sutherland

We understand the Qatar market and the majority of our lawyers have been working and practicing in Doha for many years. We advise high profile clients on complex M&A transactions and are known for our excellent relations with various government entities. We are actively involved in the local legal market, enabling us to be at the forefront of debating and shaping developments in the law.

We have years of experience of working on a broad range of finance matters, across both Sharia and conventional models, including project, trade, asset, real estate and acquisition finance, capital markets transactions as well as corporate lending, acting for borrowers and lenders, on syndicated and bilateral bases. In addition, we are advising on almost all the funds issued in Qatar (either advising fund managers or owners).

The team is led by Dani Kabbani, who has more than 21 years of experience working in-house and for law firms in Qatar. No other foreign lawyer working in an international law firm has the years of experience that Dani has in Qatar.

We have a team of over 100 lawyers in seven offices across five countries in the UAE (Abu Dhabi and Dubai), Jordan (Amman), Qatar (Doha), Saudi Arabia (Riyadh; Mohammed AlDhabaan & Partners in association with Eversheds Sutherland), and in the Kurdistan region of Iraq (Baghdad and Erbil). Our lawyers are qualified to practice in Middle Eastern jurisdictions, England and Wales, and the US.
