About

Provided by Eversheds Sutherland

Our practice covers areas as diverse as business expansion, crisis management, culture change, dispute resolution (contentious and non-contentious), redundancy, review of employment arrangements and reward strategy. Our knowledge of international best practice and familiarity with local employment practices and customs means we are ideally placed to serve our clients, and the fact that several of our team members have worked in-house gives us valuable insight into the commercial realities our clients face.

We maintain excellent contacts with the relevant authorities to ensure our advice is always in line with current custom and practice. As an example, we frequently liaise with the Department of Immigration in relation to visa and immigration formalities and advise on strategic immigration structures. Maintaining good relationships with the Free Zone Authorities, Ministry of Labor and Department of Immigration means we are aware of how they work, what they expect and how to get the best results for our clients.

We have a team of over 100 lawyers in seven offices across five countries in the UAE (Abu Dhabi and Dubai), Jordan (Amman), Qatar (Doha), Saudi Arabia (Riyadh; Mohammed AlDhabaan & Partners in association with Eversheds Sutherland), and in the Kurdistan region of Iraq (Baghdad and Erbil). Our lawyers are qualified to practice in Middle Eastern jurisdictions, England and Wales, and the US.

The firm offers extensive sector expertise in finance, TMT and education. It has a wide-ranging offering, with the capacity to advise on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters onshore, as well as in the DIFC and ADGM.
