The firm advises a wide range of clients, in mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, leveraged and acquisition finance, private equity transactions, tax efficiency structuring, corporate governance, among other corporate matters from the negotiation process to the due diligence, structuring, and closing of transactions.
Recent experiences involve advising:
- Suez Group (Aguas de Barcelona) in a government procurement process resulting in the award of a public contract with the Paraguayan Water Company (ESSAP S.A.) to develop a water management and billing software;
- Credicentro S.A.E.C.A. a local credit corporation, in its merger with Crediplus S.A.;
- BBVA S.A. in the sale of 100% of its share capital in BBVA Paraguay S.A. to Banco GNB Paraguay for about USD 270 million.
- EDESA (leading local distribution company) on a complete restructuring of its assets; and the sale of these assets to another distribution company.
- President Energy PLC in the renewal of the concession for the exploration of hydrocarbons in the Paraguayan Chaco.
- Grupo América in the incorporation of its Paraguayan subsidiaries and in the bidding processes with CONATEL for the license to operate television channels in Paraguay.
- Credicentro S.A.E.C.A. in the merger process with the companies LCR S.A.E.C.A. and Pasfin S.A.E.C.A.
