The team assists vulnerable and marginalised clients nationwide such as LGBTQ+, victims of torture / trafficking, victims of domestic abuse, detainees under the Immigration Acts, unaccompanied asylum-seeking minors and those with mental health conditions. They routinely appear before the higher domestic courts including the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

The department has an expanded international public law presence, previously developing litigation challenges to UK government practices in Libya, Eritrea and Rwanda, taking on and attaining successful outcomes.

The department is led by directors who are experts in their field. The majority of the team are accredited at Level 2 or Level 3 of the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Scheme; many of which are recognised industry award-winners that lead cases that change both policy and law.
