Based on the regular services we provide to financial agents (banks, financial companies, trusts), our firm has gained significant experience in financial transactions (financial structuring, funding), turning this into one a landmark feature of our firm. We have always had a strong muscle in the banking sector, advising the most relevant local and international financial institutions.

With the surge of infrastructure projects, we have become a frontrunner in this new trend of project finance transactions in the country, having participated in most of the transactions that have seen financial close or are being negotiated to date. Last year we advised Grupo Vía Central, integrated by SACYR, NGE, SACEEM and Berkes, to obtain the largest project financing ever in Uruguay – for up to US$ 855 million – to fund a public-private partnership (PPP) railway project, known as the Ferrocarril Central Project. Ferrocarril Central is the largest infrastructure project in the history of Uruguay.

In addition, we have strong expertise in the consumer finance sector providing advice to the financial entities which have become increasingly important in the country, attracting from banks the low and middle-income clientele.

Moreover, accompanying the change that the financial sector has had globally with the surge of technological solutions, we started working with companies that integrate the “payments system” in Uruguay, such as: FinTechs, Electronic Money Issuers.
