About

Provided by Dentons Chile

Our Environment and Natural Resources group focuses on providing a specialized service for each client. Our lawyers design and implement creative and practical solutions to solve the challenges bound to each of our client’s projects and operations.

We have worked together as a team for many years in different types of operations and projects, allowing us to achieve very efficient and dynamic work with high-quality standards in the solutions we give our clients. Our Partner/Associate ratio enables us to have a partner's continuous and permanent presence on each matter we advise.

We differentiate ourselves because we have a strong expertise not only in environmental law, but also in mining law, water law, electricity law, litigation, and administrative law. In environmental matters, we focus primarily on environmental assessments, permitting, environmental litigation, and compliance.

We have recently i) advised a foreign mining company in the environmental assessment of the operational continuity of its project until the year 2050, successfully obtaining an RCA and the necessary sectorial permits; ii) successfully advised an agro-industrial company in a lawsuit for environmental damage and iii) reach an agreement with an indigenous community to carry out a mining exploration project of a foreign mining company in indigenous territory.

Finally, we can highlight that we have developed ESG advisory services in which we are pioneers in the Chilean market.
