Transactions in 2020-21: In acquisition finance, we advised as lead counsel a domestic bank on the intragroup acquisition of a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In interbank lending, we advised as lead counsel a domestic bank in advancing an RMB denominated loan to a Turkish bank. In project finance, we advised as lead counsel a domestic bank on the construction of a hydropower plant in Peru.

Clients

Our major domestic clients are the largest Chinese commercial and policy banks. For international clients, we advise on lending matters and establishing a presence in China through a representative office. We also work with international law firms as PRC counsel in on-shore, offshore financing matters for Hong Kong-based financial institutions. In addition, we advise as PRC counsel for US and European banks with financing matters involving the PRC.
