What we do
The Manchester team has an IT law practice that not only reflects the firm's focus and expertise in the healthcare and insurance sectors, but we also act for a number of significant private and public sector entities, outside these sectors. The team’s client base has grown again in the last 12 months, with important new clients in the private and public sectors.

What we are known for
Our truly integrated approach between the department’s non-contentious and contentious lawyers. In an IT context, disputes often occur in the context of ongoing projects and/or lead to a re-baselining of existing contractual relationships involving requiring sensitivity and non-contentious input even in dispute situations

In additional a significant part of our work involves acting for major US based software suppliers who supply software in the UK. These clients value our experience and knowledge of acting for US corporate clients, and we have built extensive knowledge and experience of working with our US clients over a number of years acting for them.

Specialisations
We have a deep knowledge and expertise of technology procurement and contracting issues in the healthcare sector and its reputation in this area has continued to grow and develop. This is evidenced by the number of high value instructions from industry leading healthcare technology companies, as well as NHS purchasers – and our working with leading academic institutions and publications in this niche area
