One of Coronel & Pérez’s expertise is the management of complex arbitration and litigation. The firm has represented successfully, both national and international clients before Ecuadorean courts. In addition, it has actively participated in the design of strategies of multijurisdictional litigation.
The firm has represented clients before international tribunals and institutions such as the LCIA, the ICSID, ICC and UNCITRAL Arbitral Tribunals, as well as the Inter American Commission of Human Rights (IACHR).
Many of its members have also been arbitrators or mediators in arbitral institutions such as the International Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber of Commerce of Guayaquil, the Ecuadorean-American Chamber of Commerce of Quito (AMCHAM), the CIAM in Quito, ICC, and ICSID. Moreover, our lawyers have been legal experts on Ecuadorean law issues in international investment and commercial arbitration. They have provided the same service on behalf of foreign clients before United States courts.
As of 2017, Hernán Pérez Loose was appointed by the ICC Ecuador as representative of the national committee to the Arbitration adn ADR Commission of the ICC Paris.
