The Environmental Law practice of CMS Grau is pioneer in the local market, being the first practice area in Peru (12 years ago) to be dedicated exclusively for legal advice in environmental issues, and the first one to apply the technology for legal services. We developed a software ("GEORGE"), which is a management system for compliance and identification in real-time of legal requirements, gaps and needs, covering a variety of modules and sectors. This platform complements our legal services and is currently leader in Peru.

Thus, our practice area is developed and characterized for several pillars:

  • Multidisciplinary: In addition to the identification of legal requirements, CMS Grau provides this service together with specialists from other scientific disciplines such as engineers.
  • Multisectorial: we provide legal advice to leading companies in different sectors such as energy, aviation, mining, hydrocarbons, chemical, industrial, sanitation, fishery, among others.
  • Preventive: we assist our clients in the efforts to meet thoroughly all requirements of the environmental regulations. We focus and specialize on being the best option to identify and update the legal requirements applicable to clients, assess proper compliance, solving queries and provide training.

We have extensive experience in legal support for the adoption and maintenance Integrated Management Systems in accordance with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 9001 standards.
