Our Maritime law practice at Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates is a leading player in the maritime sector in Malta. Our maritime law team has specialist experience in the assistance of ship and yacht owners to ensure full benefit from Maltese legislation in the areas of yacht and ship registration, registration of mortgages, incorporation of companies, and all the related legal and technical aspects.

The firm registers an average of 3 - 4 new vessels a month under the Maltese flag (including ships and yachts, with an average of 2 yachts/super yachts registrations a month. 

Our Maritime law practice works with a large base of collaborators, including foreign law firms, advisers and shipbuilding companies which represent the mainstream of client engagements. We are the firm of choice for a number of agents representing international yachting brands such as Sunseeker which have described us as having  “a strong presence in the market for maritime work”.
