About
Provided by Castellán Abogados
Castellán’s Corporate Tax practice provides integrated legal, accounting and tax advice to local and international clients, combining technical expertise with a strong understanding of their business and strategic objectives.
The practice advises on corporate and international taxation, tax planning, M&A due diligence, investment and holding structures, transfer pricing, cross-border transactions and tax compliance, as well as tax audits and controversies.
A significant part of the department’s work involves multinational groups and foreign investors establishing, reorganizing or expanding their operations in Uruguay and Latin America. The team has particular experience designing and implementing structures that address the legal, financial and tax implications of increasingly complex cross-border operations.
A key differentiator is Castellán’s multidisciplinary model, bringing together lawyers and accountants and working closely with the firm’s Corporate/M&A, regulatory and notarial practices. This allows the team to approach tax matters from a broader business perspective and provide coordinated advice and implementation.
The practice’s international capabilities are further strengthened through B-Conex Latam, where tax has become a significant area of regional collaboration, enabling coordinated multi-jurisdictional advice through a single point of contact.
