Calfee’s Corporate/M&A practice is one of the largest and most prolific in Ohio, handling a significant number of complex and sophisticated transactions for clients around the country and globally from our offices in Cleveland (northern Ohio), Columbus (central Ohio), and Cincinnati (southern Ohio). We represent privately held and publicly traded companies, private equity funds, private entrepreneurs, and family owned businesses, among other types of clients.
Calfee boasts a robust Mergers and Acquisitions, Divestitures, and Sales practice led by an active private equity client base and a large roster of public and significant privately held corporate clients.
We guide clients through the process of structuring, negotiating, and completing acquisitions and divestitures of assets and stock, mergers, strategic alliances, and joint venture arrangements. After closing, we advise clients on post-transaction integration and indemnification matters, and, in the case of acquisitions, we often function as outside “general counsel” to our clients on day-to-day matters.
