We provide advice in regulatory and transactional matters related with the hydrocarbons and mining industries in Colombia. We advise clients in the development of mining projects, participate in transactions involving acquisitions of mining companies and assist global mining companies in regulatory matters relevant to the industry, as well as in structuring project and corporate finance transactions.
We advise multinational corporations in business transactions, including the allocation of tenements and licenses, the negotiation of contracts with state agencies, drafting and negotiation of service agreements, the financing of projects, and the management of day-to-day operations.
We often work as co-counsel with leading international law firms advising clients in a variety of oil, gas and mining matters, including cross-border acquisitions, project financings, capital markets transactions, as well as in the context of the resolution of disputes before international courts and arbitration panels.
We have extensive experience in performing due diligence of oil, gas and mining projects, concerning regulatory and compliance matters, in order to resolve issues related with title to concessions, including the management of the title, the relevant filings and the procedures that need to be completed before governmental authorities.
