Bredin Prat

About

Provided by Bredin Prat

Corporate transactional work is a key element of Bredin Prat’s practice. The firm has worked on the majority of landmark M&A transactions (both public and private) in France over the past 30 years, including high-profile privatizations, recommended and hostile tender offers, and contested takeovers

In addition to Mergers and Acquisitions, Bredin Prat’s corporate practice includes Private Equity and Capital Markets. The firm’s similarly recognized expertise in stock exchange regulation and securities litigation has resulted in our partners being frequently consulted on issues of policy and legal reform.

More than half of our partners practice in this field, making up one of the largest teams on the French market. In all, some fifty lawyers advise on public and private transactions for French and international corporate clients, private equity funds, family-owned groups and entrepreneurs

Another significant part of the firm’s corporate practice consists in advising French and international closely-held groups and entrepreneurs in their external growth, divestitures and joint domestic or international ventures. We have developed particular industry-specific expertise in a variety of sectors such as telecoms, utilities, energy, media, retail, real estate, defense, aerospace, automobile and financial services.
