Renewables

  • Al Kharsaa 800.15 MW solar PV IPP in Qatar: advising the winning consortium of Marubeni Corporation and Total Solar on this $450 million project, which is the first renewables IPP in Qatar
  • Masrik solar PV in Armenia: advising Fotowatio Renewable Ventures on this project, a first-of-a-kind project for the country
  • 30MW/60MWH energy storage project in Jordan: advising Alcazar Energy Partners, as bidder, and EBRD, as lender, on the first utility-scale, stand-alone, project financed energy storage project in the MENA region

I(W)PP and Other Infrastructure Projects

  • Facility E 2.3 GW and 100 MIGD IWPP in Qatar: advising the Marubeni Corporation and Kyushu Electric consortium regarding its bid for this project. This is arguably the largest utilities project currently under tender in the Middle East, with an estimated capex value of approximately $3 billion
  • Hassyan IWPP in Dubai: advising lenders to the Utico-led consortium, the lead bidder on read out, in respect of a bid for the 120 MIGD Hassyan Independent Water Project in Dubai

COVID-19

  • Alcazar Energy Partners: advising across seven projects in Jordan and Egypt regarding force majeure and other issues arising as a result of COVID-19
