In addition to representing major companies, and major deals, the team is very well positioned, both in the academia and business communities.  Most of the practice members teach at prestigious universities, and serve in boards of entities such as the Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Exports, Chamber of Insurers, Costa Rican Bar Association, well-known NGOs and others. These positions further allow the law firm to offer clients access to business and political intelligence, as well as a larger network for their benefit.

As part of this day to day advice, BLP drafts, reviews and negotiates contracts, terminations and addenda thereto, attends legal consultations on matters related to the operation of the companies on a daily basis; performs all the work related to the shareholders’ and board of director´s meetings and registries, as well as corporate governance matters. The attorneys involved in these matters also coordinate legal counseling with all other practice areas such as labor, intellectual property, consumer protection, insurance and regulatory law, among others.
