Work highlights

Bird & Bird successfully acted for Merck in bringing a trade mark infringement and unfair competition case against MSD Animal Health (Shanghai) Trading. The Beijing Chaoyang Court ruled in favour of Merck, awarding damages and granting an injunction that prevented MSD Animal Health from using 'merck' on websites and e-mail addresses in China.

Bird & Bird advised Amgen Singapore on two patent infringement lawsuits before the Singapore High Court against Genentech.

Bird & Bird successfully defended Dongkuk Steel in Federal Court patent infringement proceedings brought against it by BlueScope Steel in respect of two patents in Australia relating to its next-generation galvalume rolled steel products.
