Barclay Damon’s Labor & Employment Practice Area attorneys have deep experience advising public, private, union, and not-for-profit clients in matters involving a wide range of labor and employment laws. We have extensive experience in the health care, higher education, hotels and hospitality, and energy industries. Our clients include small local businesses, midsize regional companies, and large national and international corporations.

Our attorneys provide everything from day-to-day counseling; reviewing and drafting employee policies and handbooks; advising employers on addressing employee discipline issues, breaches of company policies or rules, and workplace safety; proactively working with employers to anticipate and avoid claims; enforcing restrictive covenants; developing and negotiating binding severance agreements and releases to preclude litigation; preventive health and safety counseling services; development of written safety and health programs; conducting health and safety compliance audits; and advising on OSHA compliance as well as contesting safety citations and penalties.

Barclay Damon’s Labor & Employment Practice Area attorneys handle matters on various employment matters in federal and state courts and before state and federal regulatory agencies, including the NYS Division of Human Rights, NYC Commission on Human Rights, the EEOC, NLRB, OSHA, and federal and state departments of labor.
