Balch handles litigation at all levels of state court and before administrative law judges, and regularly works through audits, appeals, and refund claims with clients. The practice has drafted or co-drafted most of the major tax incentive legislation in Alabama and routinely helps clients secure abatements, income tax credits, site preparation grants, and enterprise zone benefits. Balch attorneys also obtain state revenue rulings and opinion letters and advises on pending legislation and recent developments that affect clients' state and local tax positions.
