Overview

Arzinger's team has an extensive expertise, and is one of a small number of firms handling landmark restructuring cases particularly complex and large-scale debt restructuring and loan enforcement projects. We are instructed on complicated cross-border projects where our deep knowledge of local legislation and its practical implementation as well as broad international experience is of significant benefit to the outcome for our clients. Notably, we were involved in the biggest and most complicated debt restructuring project of the last few years.

Arzinger is regularly instructed by domestic and foreign banks on their critical projects involving conflict with borrowers, and in many cases fraudulent actions of borrower’s management.

We have expertise in the full range of liquidations and insolvency-related matters with a particular focus on high-value creditor mandates; distressed M&A providing full scale support from pre-sale due diligence and clearance to post-sale enforcement; civil and criminal management and shareholder liability including wrongful/reckless trade, fraud and forgery; and turnaround management where we excel, including development and implementing in and out of court turnaround plans for viable businesses in distress. Notably, we are one of, if not the only practice in Ukraine focusing on turn around for our many clients rather than driving through bankruptcy and insolvency court proceedings.
