About

Provided by Apricity Law

Our clients are individuals who have suffered traumatic or acquired brain injuries as a result of an illness or injury.

Stacey works with a client who developed a brain tumour as a young child leading to 2:1 24/7 care. Challenges were experienced with the client’s parents whose preference was for the client to move to a residential facility rather than her own accommodation. The Client was vulnerable in terms of relationships, financial management and exhibited challenging behaviours. Relations with the client’s parents were challenging resulting in receiving multiple and abusive phone calls. Stacey navigated these difficult issues to ensure the client’s best interests remained central to all decisions.

Asha works with a Personal Injury client with a large compensation award but complex family requirements. Asha had to pick up a large property project that had gone wrong due to previous builders. Previous professionals had not fully understood P’s needs and requirements. Asha approached it from a different cultural angle having some understanding of P’s cultural background and her wishes and feelings. This opened up the MDT to a more understanding team and less fractious relationships between P and her family. Asha is collaborating with case manager, school and statutory services regarding the transition from child to adult and the additional funding complexities that surround that as well as educational needs.
