About

Provided by Appleby

Our team has a wide range of expertise, enabling us to provide clear, sound and timely legal advice on the full spectrum of commercial dispute resolution issues. Members of the team are skilled in the resolution of all types of commercial and civil disputes, whether through litigation or arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. Our lawyers include experienced advocates, who have rights of audience, conducting litigation at all levels of the court system, including the Privy Council and the final court of appeal for all eight jurisdictions.

More specifically, our team is best known for their shareholder disputes and insolvency work. We continue to see an increase in fraud and asset tracing work in particular from Russia and the former CIS States. We are also increasingly involved in trusts litigation work.

Another of our key strengths is in the insolvency and restructuring sector and we are regularly instructed by local insolvency practitioners and have been engaged in many of the most challenging insolvency mandates in the market. In recent times examples include Boston Life & Annuity Company, the Unicorn Worldwide Group and Peak Hotels & Resorts.

Alerts to clients on the introduction of new regulations and changes to the law which affect their business are delivered regularly by our team.
