Mitrani Caballero & Ruiz Moreno advised Dutch Development Bank FMO and French Development Bank Proparco, as lenders, in a Term Facility Agreement for a maximum principal amount of US$ 80,000,000 (“TFA”) to Argentine bank Banco Supervielle S.A. (“Supervielle”). FMO also acted in the capacity of Agent.
Banco Supervielle is the 7th largest private bank in Argentina in terms of loans and the 10th largest including public banks. It has a 130 year history in the Argentine financial system, and a leader in many market segments.
The TFA is focused to help Supervielle increase its financing to SMEs in Argentina.
This loan facility shall make a difference at a time when commercial investors are shying away from Argentina and market confidence is reaching a new low and will enable Banco Supervielle to continue supporting SMEs by providing long-term financing in these times of distress for the Argentine economy.
