A fund advised by Oaktree Capital (“Oaktree”) has sold the nursing home group Vitanas to the French healthcare company Domidep.
Vitanas was founded in 1969 and, with approximately 5,670 care beds and 44 facilities, is one of the major private nursing home operators in Germany. The care provider employs around 4,600 staff and is a leader in dementia care.
Hengeler Mueller already advised Oaktree on the acquisition of Vitanas in 2017 and has also provided comprehensive legal advice to Oaktree on the current divestment.
