Global law firm Dentons assisted Fuchs Asset Management S.A., as manager of the Luxembourg fund Summus Fund S.A. SICAV-RAIF, in the launch of the direct lending activity in Italy by a compartment of the fund called “Summus Fund One”.

Summus Fund One offers real estate financing solutions. It completed its first transaction in Italy through the provision of a medium- to long-term mortgage loan.

Dentons advised on the regulatory and authorization matters, as well as on all legal and tax aspects of the financing transaction, with a multidisciplinary team. In particular, partner Alessandro Engst and associate Federico Atorino handled the regulatory aspects related to obtaining the authorization from the Bank of Italy to allow the “Summus” fund to provide loans in Italy. Partner Andrea Fiorelli, counsel Matteo Chinaglia, senior associate Alberto Bandini and trainees Giovanni Moretta and Flavia Fusco advised on tax matters. Partner Pierandrea Bonali and counsel Antida Cutuli looked after the financing.

The transaction was arranged by the Geneva-based Multi-Family Office Amadeus Capital with a team comprising managing partner Tim Brockmann and portfolio manager Fabian Scheler.
