De Pardieu has advised Claire’s France, the French subsidiary of the iconic American fashion accessories and costume jewelry brand, on its acquisition under a court-approved sale plan approved by the Tribunal des activités économiques de Paris in connection with its rehabilitation proceedings opened in July 2025.
The rehabilitation proceedings opened on 24 July 2025 in favor of Claire’s France were instituted in the context of financial difficulties affecting the entire Claire’s group, as evidenced by the initiation of Chapter 11 proceedings in the United-States and analogous bankruptcy proceedings in Europe during the summer of 2025.
Following a call for tenders launched at the end of July 2025, the Tribunal des activités économiques de Paris selected on 14 November 2025 the joint bids of June CH GmbH, a Swiss company specializing in the manufacture and sale of costume jewelry, accessories and apparel, and Carcafrancia, the French subsidiary of the Spanish group La Casa de las Carcasas, a world-leading company specializing in the sale of mobile phone cases and accessories.
This acquisition ensures the preservation of a significant retail network comprising 146 outlets, of which 137 would be operated under Claire’s brand, and safeguards 459 jobs.
