Bruchou & Funes de Rioja is pleased to announce the appointment of two new partners effective April 1, 2024:
· Lucila Tagliaferro, as Partner specializing in Business Labor Law.
· Nicolás Dulce, as Partner specializing in Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Energy.
Likewise, it has resolved to appoint two new Expert Consultants also effective from April 1:
· Andrea Callegari, as Expert Counsel in the Customs and Foreign Trade Department.
· Pablo Crimer, as Expert Counsel and Head of the Environmental Law Department.
As per the summarized biographies below, these are professionals with a distinguished career within the Firm.
Lucila Tagliaferro
An attorney with over 30 years of experience in labor law, she joined the Firm as an associate in 2007. Lucila has extensive experience in contract structuring, as well as in managing complex transactions including startups, negotiation and restructuring of workforces, advising on M&A operations, due diligence, and audits, amongst others, both locally and internationally. With this appointment, Lucila, in addition to continuing her practices in labor matters, will lead the Compensation, Benefits, and Social Security team of the Firm.
Nicolás Dulce
He joined the Firm as an associate in 2013, the year of his graduation. He specializes in corporate law, with extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, and general corporate advisory (including large corporations listed on stock markets). As part of his transactional experience, Nicolás has over ten years of specialization in complex matters in the energy sector (both in oil and gas, and electric power), accompanying the Firm's main clients in this sector. Between 2018 and 2019, he worked as an international associate in the M&A department of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP (New York), and in 2020 he obtained an LL.M. from Stanford University (California), specializing in Governance and Corporate Practice.
Andrea Callegari
Andrea joined the Firm in 2015 as an associate in the Customs & Foreign Trade Department of the Firm, specializing in advising and litigating complex customs matters. She has over 17 years of experience in designing and planning foreign trade transactions in various industries (energy, mining, agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, fruit-growing, among others). In recent years, she has excelled in exchange advice related to operational customs issues, and the import payment control regime and/or export collections. Between 2009 and 2011, she pursued a master’s degree in Tax Law at the Universidad Católica Argentina, and in 2013 completed a postgraduate course in Customs Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires.
Pablo Crimer
Pablo has over 17 years of experience advising companies on environmental law issues. He joined the Firm in 2015 and leads the Environmental Law practice, as well as our ESG Platform for Climate Action and Sustainable Business. He has significant experience in various environmental law topics (from environmental liability analysis and prevention, audits, to the development of complex projects). He handles environmental matters administratively and judicially. He specializes in environmental issues related to complex businesses (joint ventures, M&As, project finance, etc.). He also develops compliance programs and in-house training. In 2010, he obtained an LL.M. from Columbia University. He has been a professor in his specialty subjects at the Universidad de San Andrés (undergraduate and graduate levels) since 2014.
