Mark Molumphy is Head of the Securities, Privacy and Financial Fraud practices at Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy, and considered one of the nation's most accomplished trial attorneys. Mark specializes in securities litigation, corporate governance, data security and privacy, and consumer fraud.
Career
Mark has served as lead trial counsel in many of America's most prominent securities and data privacy cases, litigating issues of first impression relating to newly-enacted state and federal statutes. Mark recently served as co-lead counsel in the Apple Device Performance Litigation, alleging that Apple's software secretly throttled the performance of iPhones, and the Zoom Video Communications, Inc. Privacy Litigation, alleging the communications platform failed to encrypt user conversations. Both class actions resulted in historic settlements. Mark has also led some of the largest securities and derivative actions in the nation, including actions against PG&E's directors and officers following the disastrous California fires and San Bruno gas pipeline explosion.
Mark’s work has resulted in the recovery of hundreds of millions of dollars and the implementation of novel governance reforms for public and private companies alike, as well as their shareholders.
