As Vice President of Review & Advanced Analytics at Lighthouse, Lon oversees the application of AI, linguistics, and information retrieval expertise to implement solutions to clients’ litigation and regulatory compliance challenges. Lon’s teams specialize in leveraging artificial intelligence and search technologies as well as their extensive investigative experience to scope, design, and implement innovative technology-enabled review solutions for clients throughout the data lifecycle.

Personal
A lover of music and a former college radio DJ, Lon lived in San Francisco for twenty years before relocating to his home in Chicago with his husband, Mario, just over a decade ago. When he’s not spending too many hours trying to perfect his pickleball dinks on the court, Lon still enjoys going to live shows and spinning records on the air once a year at the annual alumni takeover of his college’s radio station.
Work Highlights
Participating in the National Institute for Standards and Technology’s TREC Legal Track studies that established the defensibility of technology-assisted review. Designing complex, defensible TAR-based review workflows for the successful completion of production obligations in 30+ jurisdictions as part of the National Opioid MDL and related state and local matters. Introducing the industry’s first generative-AI based privilege logging solution in 2023.
Industry Sector Expertise
During his career, Troyer has worked domestically and internationally on dozens of high stakes matters in a wide variety of industries, including antitrust, class action, IP, product liability, and other types of litigation, as well as internal and government investigations.
Experience
Prior to joining Lighthouse, Lon was the Executive Managing Director and Head of Professional Services at H5, taught constitutional law in graduate school at the University of California, Berkeley, and gained practical experience in corporate law at Sidley Austin LLP.
