James Stang

Career

James Stang has gained a national reputation for representing official creditors’ committees (OCCs) in bankruptcy cases involving sexual abuse, including the committees in the bankruptcies of The Weinstein Company, The Boy Scouts of America, and USA Gymnastics. Since 2004, PSZJ, led by Mr. Stang, has represented OCCs in 13 of the 16 Roman Catholic diocesan and religious order chapter 11 cases filed in the United States. He is widely quoted by the Wall Street Journal, American Lawyer and other national publications for his role in these high-profile, highly-charged cases.
