Humberto Celis Aguilar Álvarez, has a practice for over 30 years while also being the founder of the first environmental law in Mexico. He has experience in environmental legislation regarding energy and natural resources as well as in the areas derived from there, at both the Federal, State and Municipal levels.

He was appointed by Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) as Honorary advisor in 2005, he published reports on environmental legal precedents in 2023, and in 2024 Chambers & Partners, awarded the distinction of “Eminent Practitioner” due to his hard work, dedication, professionalism and his impact in Mexico Environmental Law.
