Practice Areas
David is a partner based in our Los Angeles office. His practice involves all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, joint ventures, development, financing, and leasing. David represents investment companies, private equity funds, developers, life insurance companies, pension funds, banks, real estate investment trusts and other entities in connection with a wide variety of commercial real estate matters throughout the country. David has extensive experience in the acquisition, disposition, financing, and development of commercial office portfolios, retail and industrial centers, hotels, and multifamily and mixed-use developments. In addition, David regularly represents a broad range of clients, from large institutional investors to small family-owned companies, in connection with the leasing of various types of commercial properties.
David regularly speaks on expert panels for Bisnow, BOMA and RealShare, among others. He recently moderated the Projects and Markets Panel at Allen Matkins' annual View From the Top conference. In addition, David has guest lectured at the University of Southern California's Graduate School of Real Estate Development.
David is a member of the American Bar Association, the California Lawyers Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Urban Land Institute and BOMA. He has served in various leadership roles within the Urban Land Institute and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Work Highlights
Represented a developer in connection with the acquisition of the Los Angeles Times Campus in Los Angeles, California for approximately $105 million.
Represented a joint venture in connection with the sale of a $120 million office building in Irvine, California.
Represented a hotel developer in connection with the acquisition and financing of a ground leasehold interest (including the negotiation of a new ground lease) in an office building located adjacent to LAX, which office building was subsequently converted into a franchised hotel.
Represented a joint venture in connection with the sale of membership interests in a large development site in Los Angeles, California.
Represented a private equity fund and its development partner in connection with the sale of a portfolio of industrial developments in the Inland Empire for approximately $90 million.
Represented a developer in connection with the acquisition and subsequent sale of the Beverly Hills Post Office Building in Beverly Hills, California.
Represented a joint venture in connection with the acquisition of membership interests in a ground-up condominium development site in Pasadena, California for approximately $59 million.
Represented a private equity fund and its development partner in connection with the acquisition and financing of a portfolio of residential condominium units located in Las Vegas, Nevada for approximately $270 million.
Represented an industrial REIT in connection with the acquisition of a 1.3 million square foot industrial facility in Perris, California.
