About

James began his career at Chambers in 2015, starting as a Research Analyst on the UK/USA team, before joining the senior USA team in 2017. In August 2021 James took over as Head of USA Research where he helms our USA project, leading our efforts to research and rank the best law firms in America. James is responsible for running the entire Chambers USA research operation from our London office.

Working with a senior team of expert Research Managers and Principal Research Specialists, James oversees our world-class research team; drives the development of our research methodology; and ensures the quality of Chambers legal rankings.

James has an MPhil in Viking and Medieval Norse Studies jointly awarded by the University of Oslo and the University of Iceland. He also has a BA in History from the University of Birmingham. He speaks conversational Norwegian.
