Firm Overview:
Innovo Law is a specialist legal practice focusing on public inquiries, independent reviews, investigations and inquests. The directors of Innovo Law, Brian Stanton and Deirdre Domingo, have significant experience of running and acting in public inquiries, managing the legal challenges and risks involved, ensuring fairness to participants, and achieving the best outcomes for clients.

Brian and Deirdre have an in-depth knowledge of inquiry law and public law processes. They are skilled at advising decision-makers on developing fair, lawful processes that can withstand challenge. Their unique insight into these proceedings means they can provide strategic advice to optimise client engagement and influence with inquiry proceedings, and a comprehensive in-house legal service, including advocacy, to meet client objectives.

Outside of statutory inquiries, Innovo Law has experience and expertise in developing terms of reference, processes and procedures for non-statutory inquiries, and independent reviews and investigations, that are tailored to address their particular circumstances and objectives.

Innovo Law works closely with professionals in other disciplines, such as information management and data specialists, experienced investigators and analysts, and technology experts. In this way, they provide clients with multi-disciplinary end-to-end expertise, including all aspects of inquiry/investigation set-up to end of programme closure and archiving.

Their small size allows the directors of Innovo Law to provide a personal, partner level, cost effective service to meet the unique needs of each client and to ensure that the best possible outcomes are achieved.

Their experience includes: developing, managing and administering the legal processes of two statutory public inquiries (one of which was UK wide) and anumber of non-statutory inquiries, investigations and reviews; representing core participants and witnesses in a wide range of public inquiries, including people and organisations facing criticism, whistle-blowers, and organisations with an interest in improving public services for the future; and providing representation in complex, sensitive, and high profile inquests.
