Career
Zulima, our lead partner of the Bankruptcy & Insolvency practice, focuses on Civil and Commercial Litigation and Domestic and International Arbitration, including cases involving bankruptcy and insolvency, as well as contractual and non-contractual disputes, litigation of moral damages and property damage. She specializes in Amparo Law and has experience in Constitutional and Human Rights conflicts.
She has extensive experience in domestic and cross-border insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings. In August 2020, Zulima was appointed Regional Director for Mexico of the Latin American Chapter of The International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC).

Represented China Development Bank as a creditor in the insolvency proceeding of Altán Redes.
Represented Landsteiner Scientific, one of Mexico's largest and most important pharmaceutical companies, in obtaining a financing agreement.
Represented CSI Leasing Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V., and Prime/CRDF Los Jardines, LLC within Grupo Famsa, S.A.B de C.V. bankruptcy proceeding. Grupo Famsa is one of the most important retailers in Mexico.
Represented MTI Transport in its insolvency proceeding as well as in the individual proceedings that some creditors have begun against our client.
Represented Servicios Petroleros San Antonio Internacional, S. de R.L. de C.V., a branch of a transnational enterprise dedicated to Oil and Gas matters, on its bankruptcy proceedings.
Served as auxiliary of the conciliator and/or trustee appointed by IFECOM in the commercial bankruptcies of the companies Perforadora Oro Negro, Integradora de Servicios Petroleros Oro Negro, Grupo Almos, Servicios Anexos Iantel, ARC Internacional México, Retícula Gráficas, among others.
Advised Biciclo (currently Turbo Limited) and TGC Ingeniería in their commercial bankruptcy procedures.
Collaborated with the trustee appointed by the Federal Government in the commercial bankruptcies of Compañía Mexicana de Aviación and its subsidiaries Aerovías Caribe, Mexicana Inter, and the maintenance base Mexicana MRO.
Represented a Mexican academic in a moral damage lawsuit against an international organization based in Mexico for infamous publications made on the Internet.
Represents a Mexican citizen within a procedure of state liability for the irregularities committed by the SRE as a result of 2 international extradition procedures initiated against him.
