Vivien Chan is the founding and managing partner of Vivien Chan &Co., a Greater China law firm with offices in Hong Kong and Beijing. She has over 40 years of experience in mergers and acquisition, China direct investment, corporate services, employment, technology transfer, information technology, intellectual property and related tax issues.
Career
Vivien is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales, Hong Kong, Australia and Singapore.
She was recognised as one of the China's Elite 100 Lawyers (Foreign Firms) (2019, 2020, 2021) and A-List: Visionaries lawyers in China Practice (2023 – 2024) by China Business Law Journal. Vivien served on the Council of the Law Society of Hong Kong and was the President of the IPBA. She also served on the Chairman of the IBA (Asia Pacific Regional Forum), a Notary Public in Hong Kong, China-Appointed Attesting Officer in PRC, Arbitrator of CIETAC, SHIAC and SZAC and Member of AIPLA, AIPPI, APAA, FICPI, IBA, IPBA, INTA, MARQUES, Shanghai Bar Association and Tag Law.
Personal
Vivien received her law degree from King's College, University of London. She was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star (2014), Bronze Bauhinia Star (2008) and Justice of the Peace (2000) by the Government of the HKSAR. She was also awarded Outstanding Hong Kong Women Professionals and Entrepreneurs Award (2005), China’s 100 Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs (2010), and Lifetime Achievement Award-American Chamber of Commerce (2017).
