She has significant experience in consulting and preparation of all types of documents for Bulgarian employers, related to human resources. In her role of Head of Employment & Social Security in Dimitrova & Partners Law Firm she supervises the drafting of different contracts according to clients’ needs, internal acts and polices.
Vesselina is working on lots of contracts for secondment of personnel, sent to Bulgaria or from Bulgaria to a country abroad. An important issue on which Vesselina provides consultations and drafts documents is cross border posting of employees. She is acquainted in deep with the problems of staff leasing and recommends options for arranging the relations between the three parties.
Vesselina participates in due diligence of companies for observance of labour legislation and specific requirements for ensuring safe and healthy working conditions. Vesselina has an extensive professional experience in arranging the relations with the personnel upon Inter-group restructuring and implementation of TUPE requirements, M&A and international transactions.
She advises employers on lawful imposing of disciplinary sanctions and guides them in case of unexpected employee's reactions. Vesselina provides consultations on protection against discrimination issues, on termination of the employment, including procedures for mass dismissals and for out-of-court settlement of employment disputes. Vesselina helps the clients when they communicate sensitive issues with the employees and discuss solutions favorable for both parties upon arranging the employment relations. Her aim is to ensure that the employer’s needs are met and at the same time the positive work environment in the company is kept. She consults the clients on social security and pension issues.
Vesselina is responsible for timeliness informing of clients on the legislative changes in the Employment, Migration and Whistleblowing.
The team led by Vesselina assists EU citizens for establishment in Bulgaria and obtaining of the required residence documentation.
Being well-acquainted with the Migration legislation and its amendments during her more than 25-year experience in that field, Vesselina consults foreign citizens in obtaining of EU Blue cards and other work and residence permits in Bulgaria. Currently, the clients are interested in the options for Bulgarian employer’s change of EU Blue card holders as well as the possibilities of transfers of foreign employees with EU Blue cards, issued in another EU member state to Bulgaria. Vesselina gives practical solutions for all these cases. She consults non-EU citizens on the appropriate grounds to work and reside in Bulgaria and she is going along with them through the whole administrative procedure. She advises and prepares the necessary documents for issuance of short-term visas for foreigners.
Vesselina advises foreign investors for lawful development of their business activity and establishing of their labour strategy in Bulgaria. She proposes different scenarios for reorganization of work. Vesselina assists in implementation of a hybrid work model and advises on the specifics of remote work from abroad and from Bulgaria.
