Tim Murphy, former Chief of Staff to Canada’s Prime Minister, assists consortia, lenders and governments in project financing major infrastructure assets across Canada. He has extensive experience in construction, energy and procurement. Major transactions include the Finch LRT, Champlain Bridge, Highway 407 East Phase 2, the Alderville First Nation Solar Farm and the Hurontario LRT and advisory work in Peru, Israel and Africa. He is the author of the leading textbook “Public-Private Partnerships in Canada: Law, Policy and Value for Money” and is the author/editor of “Construction Law in Canada”. He has a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School and is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in P3s. He is the CEO and Managing Partner at McMillan LLP and a Managing Director of McMillan Vantage Policy Group, a public policy advisory firm. He serves on the Board of Directors of Morguard REIT, one of Canada’s leading real estate trusts and is Chair of the Board of the Toronto Community Housing Corporation, the City’s housing agency with more than 111,000 tenants. He has previously served as a Member of Provincial Parliament in the Ontario Legislature.
