Stephanie advises on ESG issues, sustainability and environmental compliance in the UK and at European level. Stephanie is originally from Dublin and practised environment law there before joining CMS to major in ESG and sustainability.
Stephanie has advised on matters including carbon reporting requirements, a project to assess an international retailer’s corporate sustainability reporting requirements, environmental liability, a variety of aspects on the European Green Deal and net zero, appealing prohibition notices, sustainable products and product compliance, the circular economy as well as producer responsibility and packaging requirements.
Stephanie is also a member of the CMS ESG group. Stephanie has previous experience at the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg.
Stephanie has contributed to environmental and pro bono initiatives at CMS, such as drafting new ESG clauses as part of The Chancery Lane Project.
Stephanie was on secondment for nine months in SSE plc. Throughout her time there she advised on matters relating to the proposed second phase of the offshore wind farm, Arklow, existing wind farm projects and the associated risks to the business.
