Lead counsel to the board of a Canadian public company in its successful response to various proxy battles initiated by a group of activist shareholders

Lead counsel to a Canadian private company in its $50-million merger with a U.S.-based company

Counsel to a group of investors in their divestiture of Saskatchewan assets valued at approximately $110 million in a clean energy facility

Lead counsel to a Canadian group of companies in their acquisitions of agribusinesses in the aggregate amount of approximately $105 million

Lead counsel to an agribusiness in connection with syndicated credit facilities in an aggregate amount exceeding $200 million

Lead counsel to a group of crop input retailers with respect to the establishment and operations of their $20-million group

Samer has also acted for clients on some of the largest clean energy projects in Saskatchewan, including acting as the lead Saskatchewan counsel to the owner and manager of a $260-million wind energy project, and to a syndicate of Canadian and international banks in their $280-million financing of one of the largest wind energy projects in Saskatchewan.
