Advising Scottish University following a fatality at a swimming pool on campus.
Advising UK University on H & S at Work duties and risks in the supply of second-hand equipment for use at work, associated product conformity requirements, and other regulations that apply in respect of the use of equipment in the workplace (PUWER, Electricity at Work etc).
Advising UK University in respect of licencing, transportation and contractual requirements associated with the shipment of the disposal of a radioactive source.
Providing UK University with assistance in training materials identifying key H & S legal responsibilities and duties of both trustees and exec management team.
Assisting in potential corporate manslaughter investigations.
Defending health and safety prosecutions for large multinationals.
Representing clients at Fatal Accident Inquiries and Coroners Inquests.
Liaising with the HSE and other enforcement agencies.
Participating in In-house incident investigation using Kelvin TopSet methodology.
Appealing Improvement Notices and Prohibition Notices served by HSE.
Providing advice to directors, etc on all health and safety issues including director duties.
Carrying out health and safety regulatory compliance audits.
Advising companies in relation to PACE interviews (England & Wales).
Liaising with criminal prosecutors and health and safety investigators.
Providing transaction support and assisting with the preparation of Health & Safety due diligence reports.
Defending numerous high value personal injury claims arising from incidents both within the UK and abroad, including complex injuries and claims for psychological trauma following fatal accidents.
