Practice Areas

Richard Lehv has been described as a "formidable litigator" and "absolutely brilliant advocate" by World Trademark Review 1000 in trial and appellate litigation before federal courts and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board in the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Focusing on trademark, copyright, and trade dress infringement, and comparative and false advertising matters, he often uses consumer surveys as evidence of advertising messages, likelihood of confusion, and secondary meaning. Richard teaches trademark and copyright litigation at Columbia Law School and was nominated "New York IP Litigator of the Year" by Managing Intellectual Property magazine in 2014.
