(Ricco) A.S. Bhasin

Ricco Bhasin is a partner in Osler’s Corporate department and Co-Chair of the Financial Institution Transactions practice. Ricco is a leading and trusted corporate, M&A, governance, partnership and joint venture advisor to private equity sponsors, and pension funds, financial institutions, governments and general corporates — bringing specialized expertise in financial services, infrastructure, and technology sectors.

Called to the bar in both Ontario and New York, Ricco regularly helps clients execute Canada/U.S. cross-border and other international transactions with precision. With an ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors, he also advises boards and senior leadership on governance, proxy and activist investor matters.

An active and engaged member of the community, Ricco serves on the Board of the Sunnybrook Foundation, sits on its Audit Committee and is a member of the Sunnybrook Hospital Board’s Quality Committee. He previously served as vice chair of the board and chair of Governance at the William Osler Health System and is a mentor in the Western Law BIPOC Mentorship Program, among other charitable and diversity-focused initiatives.
