Rebecca Wallenfelsz represents individuals and institutions in estate planning and trust and estate matters. Her experience includes drafting wills, trusts, and premarital agreements, and planning for and minimizing estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes and related income taxes. Her practice includes more sophisticated estate planning devices, such as family limited partnerships, grantor-retained annuity trusts, sales to defective grantor trusts, and spousal lifetime trusts. She also reviews and prepares fiduciary tax returns, private foundation information returns, and estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax returns.

For the charitably inclined client, Rebecca has planned for, or assisted in creating, directed funds, charitable remainder trusts and private foundations. She serves as a member of the American Cancer Society Nationwide Gift Planning Advisor Council and, in 2023, was named the ACS National Professional Advisor of the Year.

Rebecca also represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in the administration of estates and trusts, including addressing fiduciary risk issues, tax issues and litigation matters, such as will and trust construction, breach of fiduciary duty and contested probate matters. For banks and trust companies that serve as fiduciaries for private trusts and estates, Rebecca provides regulatory advice and guidance, including formation, administration and termination of common trust funds.
